The foundation stone of Indra Yog Sansthan was laid by Dr.Ambika Chandani under the able guidance of Pandit Shambhu Nath on 19th January 1997. Pandit Shambhu Nath, possessed a remarkable background in the field of Yoga education and research. With a wealth of experience, he served as a senior teacher of Yoga Education at the Yoga Institute in Santa Cruz, Bombay. His expertise extended to various renowned institutions, including the Film and TV Institute in Pune, where he lectured from 1963 to 1970. Pandit Shambhu Nath\'s dedication to spreading the knowledge of Yoga led him to organize \"Better Living\" courses across multiple cities, including Bombay, Madras, Goa, Rajasthan, and Delhi, from 1970 to 1974. Additionally, he served as the Course Director at the Academy of Yoga and Research, Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Delhi branch, from 1975 to 1991. His contributions to the field of Yoga extended beyond teaching. Pandit Shambhu Nath held the position of Junior Research Fellow in the Orthopaedic Department of the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). During his time at AIIMS, he conducted group therapy and undertook significant research projects on Yoga therapy for anxiety neurotics, sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research.
